We have traveled with Elijah through many experiences—from the height of victory on Mount Carmel to the depths of despair beneath the juniper tree . . . from the activity and threat before Ahab and Jezebel to the silence of the brook at Cherith and the solitude of the widow’s home. In every place, God proved Himself faithful, constant, and encouraging. We bid the prophet farewell and witness the final scenes of his life before he is translated “where glory dwelleth, in Immanuel’s land.”
