1 Peter 4:12–19
Peter was not one to quote pious platitudes; he had lived too long and seen too much. So we should pay careful attention to what Peter wrote—especially when life seems to be passing us through fiery trials. Peter lived during the days when being a Christian could cost you your life; therefore, the truths he offered should help us get through the fire of affliction we can experience in our own lives.
