Job 25–26
Bildad now gave his third and, thankfully, shortest presentation. By now he probably considered Job unteachable, so why waste his “brilliant insights” on the man? He ended his assault by referring to Job as a maggot and a worm. Job then used sarcasm to seize Bildad’s attention. What Job lacked in tact, he made up for in total honesty. He took Bildad through the paces as he communicated a resplendent mosaic of our Lord’s superiority over all. Job’s words revealed that he had a relationship with God that Bildad never heard of, and it was a relationship that allowed Job to be comfortable with the words, “I don’t know.”
