Tough Grace - CD

Titus 2:11–15

There are few doctrinal truths more important, more valuable, and therefore more misrepresented than grace. Some abuse the doctrine of grace by indulging in their carnality. As Paul put it, they “continue in sin so that grace may increase” (Romans 6:1). Such abuse is never condoned, excused, or encouraged in the Scriptures. “May it never be!” (6:2) was Paul’s passionate reaction to cheap grace. True grace—tough grace, as we shall see—sustains the high standard of obedience, which results in a life of self-control and godliness.
