There is no greater joy for Christian parents than knowing that their children are “walking in the truth” of God’s holy Word (3 John 4). But sadly, many parents do not know this joy. Perhaps this is true in your family. Much to your sorrow, one or more of your teenaged or now-grown children may not know the Lord or follow Him as you do. Tucked away in one of the “forgotten places” of the Old Testament is the story of a godly king whose son became an evil king. It’s a story that provides insight and encouragement to those who wish their children walked in the truth.
