Abiding in Christ - CD

Charles R. Swindoll

John 15:1–11

No one wants to be called “good for nothing.” But that’s exactly what God calls those who refuse to abide in Christ. Life as God intended it benefits not only the person who receives salvation but also the people with whom the believer lives. And if his or her character doesn’t evidence the same qualities that distinguished Jesus, something has gone terribly wrong. Like the branch of a grapevine should bear grapes, a believer should bear the fruit of a Christlike character. However, only a branch that is connected to the vine can bear fruit and, thus, fulfill its purpose.
