The Mournful Wail of a Miserable Man - CD

Selections from Job 3

Probably no one has ever memorized a verse from Job chapter 3! It’s not a pleasant chapter. It’s here the sores of reality are exposed in Job’s life. We don’t want to think that the Job of chapters 1 and 2 is the same man we meet in chapter 3. Why? Partly because we have this skewed idea that anybody who walks this closely with God lives happily ever after. But Job reminds us that even the godly can be depressed. In this chapter, Job didn’t hold back as he vented his emotions to God. Somehow, that helps us believe that God can handle our intense ranting also.
